TRIP TO ATHENS
March 10, 2020
Good morning world! <3
It is a beautiful day here in Greece. Chilly but it is March haha. I am stayed at a hotel last night and will stay there tonight. I took a train from Athens to Corinth after I got of the airplane yesterday evening. Right now I am on a bus that will take me back to Athens. There is a very famous tourist place that I plan to visit in Athens today. I do not remember what it is called, but I am looking forward to that. Then I will take the train/subway back here later this evening. I hope it will be light out still so I can see the beautiful Greece. Many people here speak English so I have been very lucky. I can only say 5 words in Greek haha. But what a beautiful adventure. I have to catch myself from speaking Albanian, haha. Last night on the train I am pretty sure I heard a couple speaking Albanian. It was so quite here last night it amazes me. you can ride scooters here on the road it is very awesome. There are alot of outside small booths that sell stuff. It reminds me of Hawai'i alot. It is so beautiful here. I got to see the water and some mountains. I will post some pictures. Id say the weather is like 48 degrees but many people sit outside. I forgot a coat it was so warm in Michigan when I left. I was lucky enough and my freind bought me one. <3 The taxes out here are high I think 24% however I got my train ticket for 12 euro which is like 13 USD and my bus ticket to Athens was just under 10 EURO. I considered taking the bus back but I really want to tae the subway back as they do not have the in Albania at least I am pretty sure they dont. Plus I will be taking a bus to Albania tomorrow. I have seen alot of dogs and cats walking around. I can see the mountains now and they are so bloody beautiful. some have snow. There is no snow here though. Today is very sunny and beautiful. Yeasterday evening when I landed it was raining and cold. While waiting for the train/subway I ran up and down the stairs about 15 times. I wanted to stay warm as I didnt have a coat. I probably looked a little crazy but if you know me frankly I do not give a damn. I am so excited to go to Albania. The flight from London to Greece was ok. All of my flights were about half full maybe just over. I got a window seat and no one sitting next to me. The lady sitting with me spoke english so we talked the last 2 hours of the ride. She was very sweet and speaks English, Greek, and Italian. I am taking my vitamens as the Coronavirus continues to spread. Well I think that is all for now. Until next time.
